All six technicians were being kept busy by a steady stream of Meridian High School students wanting to donate blood at a Carter Bloodcare blood drive at the campus Feb. 19. “Be part of something great,” the Carter BloodCare website says, encouraging people to donate blood. “Donations from high school blood drives are essential to saving the lives of your neighbors and friends.” Blood donations by high school students add up to 10 percent of the total blood supply in the area covered by Carter BloodCare.
