Funeral services for Nina Cleveland were held at Cedar Shores Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, officiated by Pastor Keith Blanton. Interment was in Clifton Memorial Park. Nina Marie Thompson was born on April 8, 1940, in Tioga, the daughter of Mary Gertrude Cook and Joseph Leverne Thompson. She passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013. She attended Adamson High School in Dallas. On Feb. 18, 1957, she married Thomas Glen (Red) Cleveland. The couple had three children. She has been a resident and loved member of the Cedar Shores-The Canyons community for the past 30-plus years. She owned her own cleaning business. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and taking care of everyone. She was a generous, God loving woman who gave unselfishly to her family, friends, and community. She made a chocolate sheet cake that was heavenly. Survivors include daughter Brenda and husband, David Snider of Clifton; sons, Coy and Debbie Cleveland of Ovilla and Mark and DeeDee Cleveland of Midlothian; grandchildren, Stormy O’Gorman, Wendi Snider, Chaz Cleveland, Haley Cleveland, Michelle Cleveland, Kelsey Cleveland, great-grandchildren, Ethan Payen, Brenna Bertelsen; sisters and brothers, Mary Wible of Monroe LA, Clara Tyler of Mesquiete, Tommy Thompson of Fort Worth; and numerous other loving family and friends. Pallbearers included Ethan David Payen, Thomas Chaz Cleveland, Michale Travis O’Gorman, Wally Martin, Anthony Chad Seidel, and Jason Duane Langley. Clifton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
