Bobby Crawford Cox

Funeral services were held for Bobby Crawford Cox, 77, of Clifton, on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Whittmer officiating. Burial was at the Turnersville Cemetery at Turnersville. Cox passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013. He was born on Jan. 10, 1936, to Dollie Grace Able and Jesse Avery Cox of Lanes Chapel. He met Janell Dollins in 1952, and they were married in 1955. Bobby Cox retired from Central Freight Lines in Irving with 21 years of service. He loved being around family and friends. He never met a stranger. As long as anyone would listen, he would tell of all his endless stories of trucking and his love of tractors. Bobby will always be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bradley Cox of Valley Mills; Faye Hoppe of Valley Mills, and Annelle Sorley of Cranfills Gap. Survivors include his wife, Janell Cox of Turnersville; Terri Cox Fain and husband, David of Quinlin; son, Jerry Don Cox and wife, Delfina, of Kemp; sister, Jane Reichel and husband, Weldon of OK; and sister, Pat Dixon of Valley Mills; and four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one expected in January. Clifton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
