Emma Lee Symank
Funeral services for Emma Lee Symank, 84, were held Monday, March 25, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Laird Duran officiating. She passed away at Lutheran Sunset Ministries on Saturday, March 23. Emma Lee Cash was born on Dec. 30, 1928, in Clifton the daughter of Hilda Leck and Louie Cash. She married Earl Symank on March 2, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton. The couple had four children. She had also lived in Austin in 1952, moving back to Clifton in 1959. She was a house wife. She loved all animals, horses, dogs, and cats. She had a sweet deposition and was a devoted wife for 49 years to Earl Symank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Symank, and sisters, Dorothy Allen, Arcilla Johnson, and Anna Mae Williams. Survivors include four sons, Russel Symank and wife, Pamela of North Richland Hills; Douglas Symank and wife, Charlene of La Porte, Donald Symank and wife, Lori of Clifton, and David Dymank of Clifton; one sister, Joy and Bill Olson of Robinson; eight grandchildren, Randy Symank of San Francisco, CA, Stephen and Bradley Symank of North Richland Hills, Kendell Symank of Clifton, Ashley Symank of Clifton, John Symank of Florida, Katrina Symank of Houston, and Christopher Symank; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers included five grandsons and nephews, Randy Symank, Kendell Symank, Bradley Symank, Stephen Symank, John Symank, Justin Allen, and Ronald Allen. Clifton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
