Grabbing Accolades

Following hard-fought Texas High School basketball seasons, the Meridian boys and girls basketball teams collected some hard earned awards with the All-District 12-1A, Division I teams were announced recently. After making the Class 1A, DI playoffs with a second place finish in district, the Meridian boys placed four players on the all-district squad, led by freshman co-newcomer of the year Jarett Carpenter. Seniors Johnny Lira and Chase Bowman, along with junior Adrian Rapoz were named to the all-district second team.
