Funeral services for beloved musician Rosalyn Marie White, 65, were held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Jerry Smith. Visitation was a hour prior to the service. Interment was in Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery. Rosalyn was born on June 1, 1947. She passed away on March 3, 2013. Rosalyn was born in Cleburne, on June 1, 1947 to Milton and Violet Rhoades Lancaster. She was one of three children born to this family. Her father died shortly after she was born, and her mother later remarried a man by the name of “Daddy” Mac Vicker. She grew up in Cleburne and attended Cleburne High School graduating from there in 1965. She married Joe White on March 18, 1972, and the young couple made their home in Clifton, where Joe was the manager of the Powell Auto Supply and involved in the Ambulance Service and the Clifton Volunteer Fire Department. Rosalyn did some secretarial work and also taught music to aspiring piano students. For many years, she was active in the First Baptist Church of Clifton and served as their accompanist. She was also the accompanist for the St. Olaf Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church of Clifton, and the First United Methodist Church of Meridian. She taught music for many years in the Texas Southern Gospel Singing School at Navarro College
