Bosque County Judge Cole Word

Texas District 58’s Representative Rob Orr (R) has introduced a bill – 83rd Legislature House Bill 958l – which has Bosque County employees up in arms. The bill would reduce the Texas County and District retirement system annual interest rate from seven to five percent. County Judge Cole Word and Sheriff Anthony Malott have uttered their disagreement in clear, strong terms. During the regular Commissioners’ Court session on Monday, the court approved a resolution strongly opposing the passage of HB958.
