Arthur Leon Kemper, age 74, of

Kopperl, passed away early Saturday

morning, Feb. 9, 2013, in a Ft.

Worth hospice facility.

Funeral services were held Tuesday,

Feb. 12, 2013, in the Kopperl

First Baptist Church with Rev. Brian

Crain officiating. Burial was in

the Kopperl Cemetery. Pallbearers

were: Jeff Barrett, Randy Sweet,

Doug Day, John McCallister, Karl Hargis, and Steve

Hammer. Honorary pallbearers were Doyle Waller, Lloyd

Kuykendall, Lloyd Wayne Kuykendall, Shane Waller, and

Richard Long.

Mr. Kemper was born March 8, 1938, in Vona, CO. He

was a son of the late Arthur A. and Ellen Edwina Sweet

Kemper. On Aug. 7, 1959, he was united in marriage to

Jerene Day in Ft. Worth.

Kemper worked for many years in the trucking industry

where he was a dispatcher. He was a member of the Kopperl

First Baptist Church.

His survivors include his wife, Jerene of Kopperl; daughter,

Gaye Lynn Tidwell and husband, Mike, of Kopperl;

sons, Mike Kemper and wife, Betty, of Burleson and Mark

Kemper and wife, Michelle, of Arlington; grandchildren,

Clay Tidwell, Jennifer Kemper, Kristina Bennett and husband,

Key, Kelsie Kemper and Hayden Kemper; sister,

Joyce Kemper of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews,

other relatives and a host of friends.

 

Memorials are requested to be sent to the American Cancer

Society.
